Occasionally, a project or the sorting of a large donation may require a little more man or woman 😉 power!
Children and teens who like to serve or who are working on obtaining service hours are welcome to participate under parental supervision. Please do not leave children/teens unsupervised and it will be your responsibility to coordinate their tasks. Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of meeting all the lovely children in this group and you as a parent have the best knowledge on how best they serve. Small tasks could include: sorting by subject or grade, straightening shelves, sweeping/dusting. As always, the ministry is incredibly blessed by your heart to serve!
Bless Others by Preparing for Our Annual Open House😊
Yes, a year has flown by and the Open House is scheduled for Sat, June 13 from 8AM-1PM. Helpers are desperately needed from May 19th - June 13th! I will be scheduling days and times soon but feel free to contact me using our Facebook Group page if you have a day in mind that you have available to serve. Helpers will have the opportunity to pick items they need for the year after they have completed their work. Without you behind-the-scene helpers the ministry wouldn't run...and definitely not as seamlessly as it appears too! Thank you!

Curriculum Exchange Ministry is so thankful ♥️to all you families who glean your shelves and gift of your excess to bless others. We are incredibly and abundantly blessed! November is the perfect time to examine the curriculum shelves and box up some of our mismatched or dated materials to make room for the new. Combining materials to create a set requires patience, a keen eye and some amount of organizational ability. Expect to be sprawled along the floor or have a stacked pile of books before you to review as you sit at the table. Finding the year a book has been published can be daunting (and ABEKA publishers have added some "excitement" by writing some of their years as Roman Numerals!😅). Once you collect an entire subject by year, the fulfilling part of all your labors is compiling a complete set and placing it on the shelf. It's a chore of service done with a heart of love. If you feel so inclined, drop by on any open day to participate in this annual activity.
We also need dusting of shelves, cleaning of books and floors swept!😉
We're having a Sale Day in October!
The ministry is abundantly blessed with surplus materials to share. This is a great opportunity for co-ops or charter groups to stock up their library shelves but it requires helpers! If you or a group would like to participate in helping, we have a need for tables, people to move boxes, people to receive monetary donations for items sold and people to help clean up. Sale Day will take place on Saturday, October 11th at 8am. See the Facebook Group page (Curriculum Exchange Ministry) for details.
Mainly general upkeep of the shelves and preparing for the larger donations in October
by removing older, outdated materials.
Please come on any open day.
August Service Work has been completed!
Helpers moved rotating shelves, built new bookshelves, disassembled and removed old shelves, restocked new bookshelves and cleared out old books from high school shelves to make room for newer materials.
Old DVDs that no longer played were removed and biographies and magazines found new spots in the ministry.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR AUGUST HELPERS!
